Come’n Ladies, we gotta have more Non Scale Victories!

Sometimes I REALLY have to reach to find one; but hey, I’m still here and still trying, so that’s a NSV in itself.

A recent goal I’ve been working on over the last few weeks is definitely a NSV. I don’t go out very often, but when I do, temptations are on every block. EVERY SINGLE BLOCK. My NSV is NOT stopping to indulge in fast food while I’m out.

I had very strong cravings last night and even considered running to the cafetaria to get ice cream (stores were closed). But, I did not do it.

@EQ4WELLNESS. You have, in my opinion, a double victory!! First, the scale has started back down. Second, you hung in there through all the time it took your body to adjust and did NOT give up!! Excellent job!

the scale started moving down again after about 2 months of sticking in one spot. i'm glad i track here so i could look back and recall how long it took my body to adjust to the new place i was at before progressing again. 2 months of consistent effort despite lack of scale or non-scale victories and it is working again. in the end, that's worth it!

This may not seem like a real NSV, but it is for me.

I've been dealing with a great deal of stress for months, life and death stress for DH and MIL (he is recovering, she passed away). It's been hard to resist my old habit of comfort eating. I have indulged, but not with what used to be my typical binging. This week, with arranging MIL's funeral and DH still being treated for sepsis, the urges became constant and the opportunities were many.

So, my Non-Scale Victory is, I DIDN'T buy and eat an entire cake, nor did I eat a tub of ice cream with calorie-rich toppings.

Things were really popping for me, NSV wise, in August. Now in Sept, they have slowed down. I'm not gaining. I'm not losing. I'm not seeing NSV. I'm not seeing the opposite either. Despite how frustrating this sounds, I enjoy it, however! I know my body is learning maintenance mode at this new level before releasing more and progressing. Just keeping steady pressure on it helps so much. Hope y'all are doing well....

Had a REALLY fun NSV the other day. Here in Texas it is still hot (100+ most days). Too hot (for me anyway) to be walking out doors but I didn't feel like being stuck inside. So I went for a walk through my favorite craft store! I didn't buy anything, other than ideas! That's the way!

Anyway, while I was walking I kept feeling something, I ordinarily do not feel, on my thigh. There it was again, and a again. Something was touching the back top of my thigh. What could it be? LOL! Imagine my delight when I discovered I've lost SO many inches that the "rounded" part of your pant seat was actually drooping down (empty because nothing was in it) and touching the back of my thigh about mid hamstring level. I laughed so hard at myself in joy over this NSV success! whoohooooooo! (yes, this outfit is too large for me but I'm persevering until i drop more inches or I cannot take in my waistbands any further to buy new clothing)

LOVE the results of Intermittent Fasting! I'm not dropping a lot of weight, but I am very successful at shredding fat and inches off my frame. Feel very youthful again! Didn't think it was possible to feel this way ever again. Super excited--which is an additional NSV of its own!

Last month I went from a size 30-32W to a 16-18W (without losing any weight--curious, hm???!)

This month my NSV of biggest note is my fingers now fit around my wrists again! I was so blown away with that. When I was a teen if I took my thumb of my other hand and placed it bracelet style around my opposite wrist, I could touch around my wrist my pinky, ring, middle, and index fingers to my thumb, one after the other, with no gap. Not surprisingly since graduating high school and growing into an adult, I've never been able to do that again with any of my fingers, let alone all 8 of them. I'm still not to all 8 of them being able to touch without a gap but just this month I discovered I can touch 4 of the 8 together without a gap. Amazing! Never thought I would see that again.

Non Scale Victory NSV Did an old pair of pants fit? Did you pass up a dessert? Are you able to walk farther than before? Did you receive a compliment from someone?

Share your NSV with the team, we would love to hear them! Share pictures and stories of your NSV
