Yes, and our peonies bring in ants as they rely on them to open the buds. Earwigs are a nuisance, but I can handle them. I love the fresh produce of a garden and it does provide a way to get exercise in.

We get earwigs in our roses but they do not seem to hurt the plant much. I do have to be careful when I bring in a bouquet to put on the table. If I do not search the petals, I find the earwigs crawling on my table later in the day. That is not a pleasant sight.

the vegetables would be therapeutic if they do well and we all love flowers and the colors.

I sure hop and pray we do better than last year. This climate and the bugs are WAY more tricky. I did not want o have pesticides. However, all the natural ones were unsuccessful. Never seen some nay bugs in one spot in my entire life. I know you can wash off some. I wonder how much is absorbed in plant.

The stuff I bought was 7...

I do the same. Iris, hostas, tulips, lilacs, bleeding hearts, vinca vines, rose of sharon, lilies, I noticed some very small rose shoots out there-geraniums, coral bells in the front. I will be putting in my flower boxes soon, those are pretty much all the annuals I do except some of the annual geraniums as I read that they keep bugs away from roses. We are running out of room for flowers though.

DH has talked about putting a vegetable garden in..we haven't done that since I was first diagnosed- we will see.

Thespiritualway, there are a few dead lilac branches back there that need to be cleared, and up until last fall there was a small woodpile back there- post cancer I do what I can, but have been playing "catch up" since I couldn't manage to do much for so long after chemo. Going on 7 yrs - but still have issues with joints, and post cancer had a battle with Afib, so life has been interesting.

Maybe you can look online for class the college extension that is in your zip code to find out strategies that work in your area.

I have lost half of my raspberries..I will be fighting the birds for them this year.

I have lost all my roses to them as well as lot of the raspberry canes. Want to keep the canes I have. I do love walking back there and having a handful for breakfast..

Last year we had those Japanese Beetle traps. You also have to hang out these disks that attracts them to do in the bag. We kept emptying them or putting them in water. It gets full promply

Rainy and windy mostly here, next week is dry. Might try and touch up outside of house a bit. We will see how warm it gets.

Haven't even thought about a garden yet. I need exercise though, and a garden would be good exercise. Usually peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach. Love those cherry tomatoes, and love yellow tomatoes, less acidity.

its cloudy. My husband put in rhubarb , potatoes, garlic. Still have to figure out my part. I told you I hate using chemicals but our garden here was sad indeed. Millions of bugs, and only a few things were successful.

I snowed last night at our house. Our daffodils are trying to bloom but the snow keeps covering them. I am so ready for Spring.

Although I have not been over 30 lbs overweight, I have a background of being a nurses aide. I also managed a residential care home. Two of my family members were obese. Also my very dearest best friend passed away in her 50’s from all the repercussions of diabetes. Therefore I would heartily support people such as yourself in any way possible. I also have several precious friends who have disabilities. I think my experience and background is an asset to support people. I also have studied some nutrition, health, and exercise. My sister has lost 93- 100 lbs twice. She recently hit lifetime with WW. Her first attempt 7 years ago, was too radical program to continue though ones life

Hello everyone. I turn 55 April 2, 2021. When I was in my 20s I was an aerobics instructor, personal trainer and martial artist. Much, in life, has happened since then. Its been a long; hard; tragic road but God got me through.

I'm desperately in need of a "do over." So at 210lbs, arthritis, asthma, I'm embarking back on a path of wholeness and health.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
