PICKIE98 Thank you for your kind words. I am doing the best I can. Every day is a little better. I believe the weight loss is helping a lot too. Where do you live with all that snow?

I hope you have Something to Do, Something to Look Forward to

I've been home for over 2 years now due to surgeries so this pandemic isolation is only new to me with mask and extra handwashing. I live in Southern Georgia and maybe 75% of the people are wearing masks. Also, it is very hard to get on any list for the vaccination.

I slowly put on 24 pounds in those 2 years and started taking it off in October 2020. Now that I am close to that goal, I'd like to keep going and take off another 40. I feel so much better now with 23 lbs loss. I know 40 more would be amazing.

I work from home and pretty much don't leave the house as well. My kids make fun of me that I don't even go out for fresh air..but it's cold and snowy so why? I am perfectly content being at home with my critters though so not much changed for me other than how and when i shop. As a diabetic I just need to be cautious

I only go out to the grocery store at 6:a.m. with no other customers, so just a clerk to be near. Doctors office every six months and labs twice, that is it. NO in-person contact with anybody else outside. At all. Nobody. I do not have zoom and nobody has used skype with me either.
Phone calls only.
I did go to the hospital on Thanksgiving day last November to pick DD up from her stay there when she was very ill. I talked to the nurse that wheeled her outside and the paramedics who whisked her away in the ambulance.
I am blessed to have DD here though. Feel free to write to me whenever you wish.

I'm not just doing my usual "Wonder where last month went--" I'm thinking "Wonder where last YEAR went--!"

Next month I will have spent an entire year in isolation. Apart from things like the local doctor's office for a flu shot (receptionist and nurse), neighbors (one-at-a-time), and delivery people (from a distance) I don't believe I've spoken to anyone in person.

Since I moved here family has always been more online than for-real. Most are in the US (and far-flung at that), and even the ones here in the UK are over 200 miles away. With the coronavirus there's been no public transportation, and even going by car has been curtailed.

Still, it's better than it would've been back in the old days. With Skype, Messenger, and Zoom I've been able to keep up with everyone - with the kids, nearly every day - and seeing them virtually beats phone calls, IMHO.

I still have plenty of projects to keep me busy. I'm taking a class that meets through Zoom, so we've been able to have group meetings, present photos and information, even have discussions. Not quite as good as the real thing, but a better substitute than snailmail!

I'm not sure how it will work since we are still supposed to be quarantined, with traveling around and meeting still tightly restricted, but I am beginning to get some evaluations on my flat with the plan of moving before next fall. Guess we'll see how that pans out.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on the vaccination, talking my walks every day - I have a bit of a streak going now - and beavering away at both things I want to do and things I need to do. (They don't always overlap, lol.)

How're things in your neck of the woods? :-)
