Stumbling out of the forest and looking to find the path again ;) Good news is that yes, I have had both vaccinations. Bad news--there is no "bad" news, just challenges.

Daily affirmation:
I will befriend my mind and give it what it needs. It takes courage to be the person I am, to fulfill my odd & unique possibilities. I will seek courage.

I got my first injection Wednesday. A few days after the governor opened it up to people over 65. Our town only gets 100 vaccines a week, so they only give them on Wednesdays. They had told me there were so many people on the waiting list it would be the middle of April, but it seams a bunch of people wanted to wait for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. I'm why wait. I want to see my grandsons. Now I can see them the middle of April and who knows when we will get Johnson and Johnson.

I am finally getting my first injection tomorrow. DD will probably not get hers until towards the end of the year. Michigan has a lot of ground cover.

I've just read that they should have enough Vaccines for everyone in 2 months so I am praying every Doctor, pharmacy and county finds a way to get them out quickly.

They are only sending our town 30 vaccines a week, so they are only doing people over 70. They figure by the middle of April they will get to the people over 65. The governor has said they can do people over 65, but they still have people over 70 on the waiting list.

Hopefully, with perseverance in 2021, I will be healthier and weigh less. I have been recovering from 3 major surgeries since Sept 2018. I have not been able to work or maintain more than a mile walk at a time so this year I plan to keep trying. I also plan to redo my kitchen cabinets, paint some rooms in the house and switch out hardware. Well, I might not actually do all that work but someone will. I will be healthier I will be more active. I will get to see my family in person. Luckily I have already had 1 vaccine and will have the other in 3 weeks. I will stay active here to keep me focused.

I retired. After 60 years of being able to say I I can't remember living north of Houston TX. several states yes, even several countries, but always out of Houston. I now live in North Arkansas and have 3 seasons. I live in an area that was once a booming city and now has a population of 2100. I live in what was once a subdivision. Now the forest has taken back most of the lots. So I walk 3 miles on paved roads, through the woods, pass a dozen houses and sometimes if I time it right will see a neighbor. So before the pandemic, I walked in the woods and went to the store once a month, last year I walked in the woods and went to the store once a month. I'm pretty sure this year I'll walk in the woods and go to the store once a month.

Okay, we (ahem) march into our thirteenth year - what's 2021 looking like for you?

I'm planning a move, and I know it will involve some kind of remodeling (kitchen? bathroom?) and redecorating (painting, at least). If that doesn't keep me off the street corners this spring, nothing will.

Also hoping that - if this pandemic calms a bit - I'll be able to visit family again. Zoom and Skype and such are better than snail-mail, but nothing beats a real in-person hug, IMHO.

For the time being, "healthy" is shelved at the Coff household. Until I have both vaccinations I don't plan on booking the long-overdue dental or eye appointments, or even a haircut. And it's busy enough even in isolation that planning nutritious meals has moved down the priority list as well - grab some fruit, boil an egg, have a bit of cheese... These have become the order of the day.

Guess whether it's in like a lamb or in like a lion, the winds of change will be blowing through March! ;-)
