Hardly anyone wears a mask here. Yes we are in Arkansas, and yes the state has a mask mandate, but I live in one of the larges cities in the state area wise, but we have 2100 people. 70% of them are over 60 and the only ones that aren't vaccinated can't be for medical reasons. I can walk 3 miles and pass a dozen houses. Probably go further, but 3 miles is as far as I walk at a time. Most of the time I don't see a neighbor, but they see me. I have had them come by the house, I haven't seen you walk by in a couple of days are you OK

2 years ago I moved from a 4 bedroom, 1400 square foot house to a 2 bedroom 800 square foot house, I think I de-cluttered everything

Mom was at the store and picked something up and put it back. The sales person asked her if she liked it. Yes, but I would have to dust it.

It IS difficult to tame one's urges to keep things. I have yet to get rid of my basket collection or crystal. I use them both daily though..

When I was younger I collected certain things and then I found it very difficult to keep them all clean. I started getting rid of the "things" so it was easier to clean.

Now I only collect kitchen utensils, clothes, drink bottles, and purses. I am good about purging them yearly. I call it my spring donation duty.

I an laughing thinking about when we moved from a 600sf apartment to a three BR, 2Bathroom home with a huge yard and two car garage. I told my husband that we would never fill this house up.
Thirty seven years later, I have gotten rid of two houses full of stuff from this place and still have a lot.
HOw did that happen?
When we flooded and I purged thigs before getting B-Dry done to my house, I really was ruthless. I now have things on shelves, organized, only what I need. I have had many garage sales and finished the lot by putting my leftovers into my parents estate sale when mom died. What a relief.

2 years ago I moved from a 4 bedroom house outside of Houston to a 2 bedroom, 800 sq foot house in a town of 2100 in the woods in Arkansas. I choose to keep all the wrong things

Avril d'poisson! Why it became "April fish" in France instead of "April fool's" beats me, but I'm still amused by it every year.

What I'm up to: selling and buying property in the UK seems to consist mostly of hurry-up and wait. Nothing happens for days, then there's a flurry of things that need to be done yesterday, then it's back to hurry-up and wait. Maddening.

Half my stuff is in storage - I guess I'll find out what's really essential. This should (I hope) result in a grand decluttering.

And other than that - I hurry-up and wait.

What's happening in your corner of the world? :-)
