100% whey protein should just be a milk protein, but always check flavors for soy additives!

I am interested in a good protein shake but nothing with soy. Does whey protein have soy? Biggest Loser has something out and I have a sample...but have not looked at it,if it has soy I wont try it. Would be nice to have something for snack or breakfast.

I use Protein Sensation 81. I order it on-line and it only has 2 carbs.

I admit....I am one who likes to drink their meals sometimes. I have had TMJ (jaw issues) since I was 13 and was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both jaw joints back in 1992, so I sometimes would rather sip my lunch or breakfast rather than eat it. So I have tons of smoothie combinations, though no real recipe. Though when I do this, I make sure my shake is perfectly balanced carb to protein ratio! emoticon

I use EAS soy protein powder. I usually go with vanilla so I can flavor the shake anyway that I like. I will use a small amount of frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or the like, and add a little soy milk or skim milk, along with a half to whole scoop of the protein powder. Occasionally, will also add some plain yogurt for the live cultures in it, and then mix. If it is too thin, I add some ice cubes to thicken it. Every shake turns out differently.

One goto favorite I have is to use the chocolate soy protein powder (or if not available use the vanilla, but add some sugar free chocolate syrup for flavoring) and a tablespoon or two of natural peanut butter, about a fourth of a banana, some soy milk or skim milk and a little ice cubes to make it cold and thick. It is so tasty.

LifeTime Life's Basics Plant Protein.

I use 1/2 scoop with 1/2c unsweetened almond milk, 1/4cup fat free yogurt, 1/2 cup fresh fruit, 1Tbl flax seed, cinnamon, ice cubes.

This is the best, most nutritious, and only protein meal supplement I have ever had long term success with. The cost is fine, the vanilla has a great flavor-no after taste. I have one in the a.m. and one in the p.m. for part of my 6 to 7 meals per day healthy eating program.

I purchase it at my local co-op here in Boise, Idaho. You can purchase it on-line too. I think Amazon.com has it.

honestly, I rarely use protein powders anymore, I prefer whole food protein, the ones I have get used post-workout when I'm too tired/lazy to make something else. I prefer eggs, cheese, and Greek-style yogurt, nothing artificial there to worry about.

I've tried the Aria vanilla (1 scoop mixed with light OJ for a pre-exercise boost. When I was eating light vanilla yogurt, I would add it to the yogurt to give it more protein, but now I eat greek yogurt. Haven't tried it yet. Also purchased the chocolate to try and mix with skim milk, but haven't tried it yet.

It is, however, artificially sweetened.

Peace. Love. Dog kisses.

I use lifetime wellnes Shakes I had tried several different ones and couldn't handle the taste. I haven't seen any by Kashi where do you buy them? I can't have any artificial sweeteners. So I would be too high in carbs most of the time using pudding to make my shakes. I get 48 grams of protein from 2 scoops of mine. My Dr. wants me to be at or above 100 grams of protein a day and between 30 to 50 net carbs.

I like both Aria and Kashi, although the kashi is high in carbs so it is a better post workout beverage. I like to make smoothies out of mine with yogurt and fruit, or just mix the powder into yogurt and eat it like pudding or freeze it so it has an ice creamy consistency.
