Onicam- I got tired just reading your post. You are a busy person.

Gwynn - You knitting now? Good for you.

Linda - Sounds like fun times with your daughter.

I was going to sew today and plans changed. We went out to pick cherries, well I sat in the car. Then we drove by a strawberry field and they picked strawberries. When we got home, I processed the pie cherries right away and still need to work with the strawberries. The sweet cherries will start out being my dessert. Yummm... If I have too many to just eat I will freeze some for later.

I am really tired and mostly I just sat. Hope to get a good nights sleep tonight.

I spent a lot of time with my youngest daughter today. It was a lot of fun. We went out to eat and also had our nails done. Prior to that I did some housework and took a walk.

Hi Bluemac Linda - nice to see you. Has Sherre completely left Spark? I am curious because we had not heard from her for a very long time.

At this time I am working 3 long days a week, taking care of my dog, in 2 Braille classes, looking for a new dentist, needing to lower my cholesterol, beginning stages of knitting, looking for a new sponsor, still with 2 government agencies, trying to get organized, and having to get COVID tests every week while needing to see eye doctors that if you have gotten tested within 10 days you can’t pass the first question on the screening. The testing is due to my work not any symptoms.

Doing the same old thing, sewing. LOL! Catching up on my taped Rachael Ray episodes.
Still eating leftovers. Well, sorta. I saw some cucumbers left in our fridge this last weekend. In perfect shape, so I ate one for dinner. They are really big. Romeo ate another and we have 2 more left. Tomorrow they will be gone.

Now, Romeo is sleeping in his chair and I am looking for ideas on a mug rug for him.

Hello everyone -

Got things ready to sew, yesterday, for sewing items for church. Today did a good number of items and then decided to cut out bags.

Last night I lost my balance and landed flat on my stomach. Today, my right shoulder and whole back is in an up roar Need to put more rub on. It is amazing what will make you hurt like you have been beat up.

We are quite cool for July. It only made it to 74 today. Now I am not complaining. It is really pleasant.

I went to bed earlier last night. I got a lot of sleep, however very tired. Maybe it is the hot and humid weather. I got in my exercise earlier. I also did some grocery shopping. I have my standard cardiologist appointment tomorrow.

I hope that everyone is having a great day.

Glad you had a nice drive Gwyn.

The people putting off fireworks yesterday was crazy. I don't think I have heard this many go off in the last 25 years. I was so tired after our BBQ and visiting with the kids, I went to sleep early and did not hear when they finally stopped. LOL!

Company has left and it is really quiet. I will not start sewing again until tomorrow
Now for another nap

Thank goodness I had help. Took me 2 days to sew 63 masks, I did have people ironing and turning masks.

During all of this, I also had to go sign off of a car that was my daughters, but was in my name. We got the loan for it at the time of purchase and she made the payments. I now have her off my insurance and a savings of $100 per month. WooHoo!

Tomorrow I am cutting out 2 bags I am tired. The guys are going fishing tomorrow so I can relax for a bit.

I have been keeping up with exercise. We have been going to restaurants once or twice a week. I want to go back to the gym, however, one county to the south and one to the north, are doubling Covid cases. It is so scary. I am exercising by walking and also online video's. The past two days that I have been walking with hubby I have been leaning quite a bit to the left side. It is really strange. I feel that I am not leaning but when he says something to me, I realize that I am. It is getting weird. I don't know why I am doing it. I have a doctor appointment next week and will mention it to him.

Teresa - I am glad that you had a good trip. You are going to be very busy making masks.

Good morning to all -

Got back from Montana on Sunday. It was quit the wedding, fun, but we left before the big drinking started.

Have had doctors appointments this week and my daughter came back over for the week. She has orders for many masks. We cut over 50 masks and I will be sewing them together today. I am also making my grandkids a string backpacks. I will be busy

The weather turned cool and today was really rainy. Suppose to warm up from now on and maybe we will have summer. LOL!

Hope everyone has a great day.

I have been doing well the past few days. Yesterday family got together for a late Father's Day. We went out to a nice dinner. It was a lot of fun. However, late one of my DD's called because she got a flat tire. We had to take care of that in the evening. I guess her father had to step up to the bat again.

Ladybug - happy belated birthday.

We are doing pretty well. The heat is keeping me inside for most of the day. Mornings are good to be out though. Getting things ready to head to Montana tomorrow My niece is getting married on Saturday. Going to purchase new tires while we are there. No sales tax in Montana.

Got my new serger threaded and ready to go and it would not sew. Went to the dealer and looked at the other machines and then talked to the sales lady. Got it figured out and came home. Changed the needles around and viola. It works.

Dinner is left overs, need to clear out the fridge. Best get moving on packing. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good morning to all -

Gwynn- Hello, how are you feeling, are you getting your exercise? I only ask, because you enjoy it so much.

Ladybug - Happy Early Birthday. Hope is is great.

Today is another very warm day. I need to get outside before it heats up and I am stuck in the house. I also need to make bread. Not sure if that will happen.

Yesterday, I took a pattern piece of the blouse I want to make but do not have enough fabric the way it is. I cut it down on the sides and added seam allowance. Then I took what I cut off and cut a different fabric from it. It is an experiment that I hope works. I have never done anything like this before. The good thing so far is I remembered to add the seam allowances. LOL! Today I will sew it and also nee to make bias tape for the arm holes and neck. Call me strange but I like making my own bias tape. It is fun.

Well I am off to check out the garden.

Yesterday was house work and today is not much. There is a fabric store going out of business close by and everything is 50% off. I have been back 3 times. Todays visit was just for netting that I saw and did not get. Normally it is $12 per yard on line and their price was a bit less then $10 per yard and then half of that. I stocked up on it. I saw fabrics that I liked but kept telling my self I wasn't looking a fabric. LOL.

I just bought the new book by Suzanne Collins, the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Can't wait until I can start reading.

I then had to watch a video on the bag I am making and am not happy with. I ripped it out and will reattach the lining after I resew and give it a good press. Then maybe I will be happy.

Linda - Sorry about the infection that wants to hang around.

Hope everyone is well and/or on the road to recovery. Summer is here and it is 88 out and I am stuck in the house, but loving the view.

I hope that you are all well. I had to go to the doctor again this week. I thought my sinus infection had healed, but it is back again. I am on another antibiotic. Still having the sinus headaches. I hope that you all enjoy Father's Day. We will celebrate next week with family, not able to do so today since one DD is out of state.

OldMom - it's good you are in Spokane. Seattle has been in crisis for a few weeks. Enjoy your trip to Montana.

I feel like a jinx, every group I have ever joined has withered to nothing. This one has lasted the longest.

I am up early today and already back from church. Because of the crap going around, they have added almost double the masses. Starting at 6 a.m. Of course I go to the earliest. The last couple of Sundays, I could not get into church because of my foot hurting so bad. Then all of the sudden last Monday, It quit hurting, just like that. I am figuring it was a bone out of place and it popped back in during the night. It was like a switch was turned off and the pain went away. Weird.

The weather looks better today, clouds are passing over and clear sky is following. Now th get on the ball and start loosing weight again.

Good Saturday to all -

It is being a typical June. Warm and sunny one day and cloudy and cool the next. In fact, it can happen in the same day. LOL! Looks better as we get closer to JUly. . LOL!

We are celebrating fathers day today and this morning I went for a pedicure. I have never had many, in fact is is the 2nd one in my life. Now I am thinking of having one every month. I am having a hard time keeping my nails trimmed. My hip flexors hurt a bunch when I bring my foot up.

Other then that, we are pretty much doing the same old things. Next week we are headed to Montana to a wedding. I need to sew faster.

I am also wondering about Sherre. If I am not mistaken, I believe her son was ill. Has anyone heard anymore about that?

Oldmom - happy to hear that your doctor said that your bones are stronger. By the way, you live in Seattle, our news shows that there are some crazy things (such as some of the protests over the last several days.) Is everything okay there?

Good morning to all -

Linda - Had had that test twice. The first time they said Osteopenia, the next time they said I was fine. The doc that checked my ankle said I had strong ones. Go figure.

Gwyn - I wish I had a way to get hold of Sherry. OMA has numbers but alas, no one else does that I know of

I need to get moving early today. Early being before 10. LOL

I have been feeling okay and doing my exercise. I had a bone density scan this week. I found out that I have Osteopenia. Happy that it isn't Osteoporosis. I need to take a calcium supplement and Vitamin D in order to try to strengthen my bones.

Oldmom - so sorry about your ankle. Happy to hear that the graduation was Saturday.

Well, Saturday was graduation. Pretty much a drive through, but it really was fun. When we got home, I did some sewing and about 4 we ordered pizza's.

I did get up and went to urgent care, they checked out my painful ankle and it is not broken and my bones are just fine. Bad sprain and I still haven't figured out how I did it.

Sunday it was church as normal, but I had to stay in my wheel chair. We then had an open house for friends and family. It was a great get together. Monday all the kids came over to eat left overs. I am so tired I could sleep for days.

Today, I had a dentist appointment. Just the normal 6 months check up. All was good. I then finished the bag I was making for my nieces graduation and cut out 8 masks. I did get the bag ready to mail out and found out that they would be in town this weekend. Score, that saved me at least $15 in postage. LOL!

Well, I think I will call it quits for today. Early as it is, I keep falling asleep.

I never learned to sew like that - took home ec in 7th and 8th grades. I can sew a button on a shirt but that is about it. I bought 4 masks on line
today I have a doctor's appointment, an appointment for my c-pap machine and getting hair cut

My daughter and her 2 kids are here for the weekend. Yeah!! Right no I have 3 dogs in the house, with 8 people. My house is really small. LOL! It is even smaller when you have that many people in it.

I went to the store to get items for dinner and made 9 masks. I did it quickly because my daughter helped by cutting the elastic, turning the masks right side out and ironed them before I pleated them. So happy to have worked together with one of my daughters.

Good evening to all -

I am sitting here, trying to keep my eyes open.

Yesterday I decluttered the table area in the kitchen and cleaned the casing of the windows. Romeo washed the windows but the casings need extra attention. The kitchen area is just greasier then any other place in the house. You can't just dust it with a damp cloth.

I then scrubbed the bathroom. Well, not the floor I will have Cody do that. My back is screaming at me as it is. I started making a wedding present for my niece an it is turning out so cute. It is a table runner. Today I was on the last block and my machine started acting up. It was driving me crazy. I was on my last quilt block and the thread kept breaking. I could hear it was the machine breaking the thread So I packed it up, along with fabric scraps for the lady at the shop and odds and ends for my scrapbooking lady. Off we went I was going to go by myself when my daughter got there and she went with me.

I was at the Viking store in JoAnn's for 2 hours. I came home with new software for digitizing and a new serger. I am so bad.

I need to stay home and never go out. LOL Exercising would be much cheaper.

I was able to get in my workout this morning. My gym has a fitness trainer that is teaching the seniors online classes for now. I love it. I am able to do it in my own house, without going to the gym. Hubby and I still walk most days. We walked this morning. It is a hot and sunny day here. We may get some thunderstorms tonight.

Good Monday evening -

So nice to see you both today.

Starr - Way to go. I am trying to get going, I do well for 2 days and then something throws me for a loop. You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work.

Gwynn - You also are an inspiration with the exercising

Today was busy Romeo and I both had chiropractic appointments. I have not been for 2 months and Romeo can now slow down to every 2 weeks. I will work on only going once a month. Not sure how it will work out.

Then home again and started deep cleaning. It is nice to have 3 people working on it at once. We got all the dusting done. Completely cleaned both end tables and got rid of junk. The windows and the cob webs. I do have to say we did not have any cobwebs, because Romeo does a weakly sweep. Got under all of the furniture. I will work on my desk another day. Romeo washed all the outside window and screens. I cleaned the LR window inside and Romeo cleaned all 3 Kitchen windows. Phew!

We are having company starting Thursday, and then an open house on Sunday. I hope it doesn't rain.

I needed to take a break and started working on a quilt block in the hoop. I am not much of a quilter, but when I find an in the hoop pattern I like, I sometimes give it a try. I am going to make 5 blocks and then put a trim fabric on them and make it into a table runner. It is for a wedding present. I am also working on a bag for a graduation present.

I did make lemon creamed chicken thighs for dinner tonight. It was suppose to be boneless, so I could cook up in small pieces to put with the salad. Romeo got the wrong one out and I did not notice it until it was thawed. So plans changed, but it was easy, and really good.

Good morning everyone.

Hay, how are you on this 1st day of June? I hope that your doing GREAT.

I think and pray for all of you each day, my special friends.

I have been going to the gym 6 to 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks. Working out about an hour each day. I have cut all of my eating down to 2 slim fast protein shakes and a small portion of chicken or fish a day. In the pas month I have lost approximately 20 pounds. I plan on keeping up this routine till I have lost, at least, 100 pounds. What I weigh now, I have not weighed since before my husband passed away. It's been a long time. I WILL do this; even if it kills me!

I had to take my cat, Tulsa, to the vet yesterday. She evidently jumped off of the counter or a piece of furniture the wrong way, because she was limping very badly. The doctor said that nothing was broken or sprained. Tulsa was given an antiflamitory and pain medication shot. She is 14 years old and has osteoarthritis. My poor baby girl! She is not limping nearly as badly this morning. Praise the Lord.

You have a wonderful & blessed day everyone.

Hugs,
Starr

MAKE 2021 THE BEST YOU CAN. (I'M PRAYING FOR A MUCH BETTER/HEALTHIER 2021 THEN WHAT 2020 WAS). GO AWAY COVID-19!!

REMEMBER, JESUS LOVES YOU--ALL THE TIME!!

Gwynn- Get some rest, is it warming up at your place. The heat zaps me

It is suppose to be in the 90's today. I am thinking of making a stir fry tomorrow for dinner and salad with left over chicken today. Need to use up what is in the fridge.

Gabriella is coming over to visit and help me learn all the ne thing i can do with my ear buds. I have them set up, but she has had hers longer and knows more. It will be quicker to have her show me.

I have been straightening up my fabric and I am done with all that is quarter yard or bigger. All the smaller Pieces are in limbo at the moment. If they are big enough to make something, I am still working on a place for them. Smaller scraps, I think I will send them to my friend who likes those things.

I now need to make a wedding present, a graduation present and start on Christmas presents. Since I know what I am making a few of the people on my list, I get them started. I have 15 on the list.

Went shopping today. I have not been for a month. Romeo has gone and picked up a few items, but not much and we did not need much this time. Mostly perishables. I can't wait to have salads this weekend.

They were giving away potato's at the fair grounds. Romeo and Cody went and they gave them 40 lbs of potatoes. Plus 3 gallons of milk, a lb. of butter and cheese. A qt of half and half, 2 doz. eggs and a large container of plain yogurt. Wow! not expecting this. We gave 2 gallons of milk to neighbors and family, and Gabriella took some eggs. Romeo had stopped by a church that was giving potatoes away about a week ago. They are needing to be used . Much quicker then the fairgrounds potatoes;. We prepped and boiled. I made mashed potatoes. I used up the yogurt, butter, most of the half and half and some milk. I got 11 qt. bags of mashed potatoes in the freezer. I have to ice my back when I was done.

Today, we headed to Costco and they were not going to let Cody in with us since it was the time for Senior citizens. I told her that we had to leave then because I could not shop by myself, Romeo cannot shop by himself and Cody cannot stay out by himself since he is Special needs. They were very nice and checked with a superior and in we went. Wearing masks in this heat about did me in though. We did not do a bunch of looking. Got what we needed and out. Next to a regular Grocery store for a few items. Then to Natural Grocers for the remainder. We were gone for 2 hours. That is the shortest time ever. Only bought one item that I didn't need but could not pass up the price. WiFi ear buds. Costco had them for $110 which is $50 cheaper them my daughter found them. Then they had another 20 off. Yup! Could not pass that up.

I am icing my back now and then will go cut out a couple patterns. Oh Yeah! I do have some yearly paperwork to do. I should get them done by next week and faxed off.

Half capacity and still could not find a parking place. I would have done the same thing. LOL! Find anything wonderful to purchase?

It looks like it will be really nice today. Not a cloud in the sky. I purchased some Vit d, online yesterday. That was a necessary purchase. I really need to quit buying fabric. online. I really do not need any more. LOL!

Well, Charlie ate his breakfast and is bugging me for his treat.

It was nice and warm today. Mid 70's with a slight breeze. Could not ask for more.

Balance the books, that should have been done 10 days ago, Decided to make it work for the the month end bills since I only have 5 days left. LOL! Can you believe it is almost June?

I finished laundry, and planted the rest of the flowers. I also helped Cody finish his homework for the rest of his High School Career. He will go on to some training next year at the community college. This will last 2 years. To help him cope with a job and as much as he can handle because of his special needs. We were all excited that home work is over though. Especially me. No more algebra. LOL!

Well time for bed.

Well, the weekend turned out to be quite nice.

I got my veggies planted and now need to finish the flowers. I was too tired to do it yesterday. I have finished refoloding my fabric stash. It is now neat and tidy. Now to get the smaller pieces neat and tidy. When i pull things out to make something. I have it all over the tables. I need to put everything away when I am done with a project. The problem was, I was making so many masks, I had all types of fabric laying all over the place. I am getting ready to cut out more masks for Gabriella and cannot remember how long to make the ties. I had to look it up. LOL! Short memory.

I decided to start icing my back, it has been hurting for a while now. I do not know why it takes me so long to figure this out for me. When others in the house hurt themselves. the first thing I do is tell them ICE, ice, ice. The ice is working.

Yay! for the new floor going and and the haircut. Positive steps.

I slept well last night and woke up to pouring rain. It rained and was dreary all day. Romeo is hoping to mow the lawn tomorrow. It is suppose to stop raining about 3 in the morning and not suppose to start up again until late evening. If he doesn't mow, the yard will be knee high.

I did not get much done today, I am still tired from what ever was going on with my ears last week. It zapped my strength.

Hope it warms up for the weekend. Oh wait. We are not going anywhere anyway. LOL

I am happy to finally be having my new flooring installed. We have had it sititng here for 2 months and could not have the installer come into our home. He started yesterday and I expect it will take until Mon. or Tues. to finish. We are getting the kitchen, office, laundry room, bathroom and hallway all done. I am excited to see how it will look.

I finally got a haircut today. So glad that it is much shorter. I am working on laundry and a few other things around the house today. It is pretty chilly and damp today after all of the rain we have been getting. The temps are to rise at the end of the week. I am so glad.

Good Morning to all -

Had to get up really early this morning. My body said it could not take being in bed any longer. My restless legs decided to keep me up most of the night. That and a very painful lower back. Not too sure what is causing this. Might have to talk to a doc. Until things settle down, I will continue to be my own doc and use essential oils, rubs, more magnesium and such.

Today, Krispy Kreme donuts is giving all graduates a dozen donuts. We will head out soon to take Cody to get his dozen. Just what I need around. LOL! He is very excited.

I feel a nap coming on. I hope. Talk later.

I had a horrible time trying to sleep last night. My brain would not shut off. I finally got 5 hours of sleep. My husband wanted to take a walk. I went along and we got a lot of walking in...but very tired now. I didn't accomplish much today other than walking. I plan to do some housework tomorrow. I scheduled a bone density test for the first week in June. My arms have been aching all day. I don't know if it is due to rain or not. I do have arthritis, so it could be.

We visited Mount St. Helens in 2002. Something I will never forget. We drove up the roads on both sides of the Mountain and then visited The Johnston Ridge Observatory. It was unbelievably awesome. I highly recommend going there if you ever have the chance.

Still working on the ear, but it is getting better. Slow but sure.

The clouds are here and so is the rain. Some thunder and lightening and a bit of wind. Normal spring. I am counting my blessing that it is warmer and not freezing.

I need to go through Cody's paper work. He has a packet of homework to do. We will be going through it starting today. I am also going to teach him how to read a recipe. I will let him pick out the cookies recipe. I am sure he will pick chocolate chip, but he may surprise me.

Hope all are well and enjoying warmer weather.

Today is the 40th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens. I lived south of Portland at the time and we did not get much of the ash. I now live in Spokane and they were covered.
Many stories are coming to mind.

Well, I need to get up and get dressed.

Our hair salons, barbers and gyms don't open till June., I miss swimming. As to hair cut -- I kind of like the fact my hair is growing

Our restaurants have opened. We are only getting take out. I have a hair appointment this week. The salons opened Friday. They have been very busy. Glad that I have an appointment.

In Idaho, which is only 30 miles from us, people are waiting in line for hours just to go to a restaurant and sit in. That to me is stupidity. Bars have opened here but restaurants have not. That again is having me scratch my head. We do not eat out very often anyway. I am really not missing it.

Restaurants in Minnesota don't open till June 1. An idea that someone came up with: let people order take out and allow them to sit in a local park to eat the food. that would enable social distancing yet enjoy eating out.

Good afternoon to all -

Still been doctoring myself. Left glands are swollen but are getting better,. Slow but sure win the race. I know it isn't viral or even an bacterial infection, because I can move my legs the same as always. When I am really sick, I need help getting into bed and out of bed. Just turning over is impossible.

I started refolding my fabric. I am trying it a different way so I do not have to refold all my stacks every time I sew something.

Well, I am going to take a nap and thin about dinner.
