For me it has always been anything by Wayne Dyer PhD (I was so sorry he passed away in August.). I first read "Your Erroneous Zones" back in 1976 when he was an unknown. Now it has sold 35,000,000 copies world-wide and the critics said he wouldn't write another, but he went on to write 30 more wonderful books.

My favorite novel is "The Good Earth" by Pearl Buck as Olan worked to raise herself from slave-girl to rich woman, with a husband who hated her because she had "big feet." (Big feet can be anything in a marriage.)

Any book by Bill Bryson, especially "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and "A Walk in the Woods".
And another novel is "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt. I loved the two others that followed. He painted with words.

INTO THIN AIR by Jon Krakauer about the tragic Mt. Everest climb. and
One Hundred Years of Solitude Novel by Gabriel García Márquez

I can't stand the news anymore....I have went thru my "to read" list...

Does anyone have any "feel good" books or light heart-ed books to suggest?

I am reading books translated from Dalai Lama, but they are ones you have to read a few times. I want something light, inspiring, feel good, energizing, inspiring, fun, entertaining...escaping...any of that....
