Haven't been on this team for awhile, but feel like positivity is in me! Thought I would make sure I stop here daily to keep it going!!! Wrote a new blog, and really feel blessed to have lived and learned. Life is a journey and I have so much more to live and give! Loving life and staying committed to eating healthy and exercising no matter the scale. My blood pressure, blood tests are good, so it must be working and my body just wants this extra weight for a crisis I have yet to understand.

I had a great day also. I went for 2 walks and did some upper body weight training. I also ate properly and stayed within my calorie range. Feel so much better now.

It's hard when you feel frustrated. I was also out of control tonight but I'm not going to let it get me down. emoticon

We just need to take a deep breath and talk to ourselves that taking it out with food isn't worth it. Maybe we need to sit back and listen to some music that we enjoy or do anything else that might help.

My work day was not a good one. When I came home, I just ate and ate. I need to learn how to handle the stress of this job better...either not let it get to me...or learn a better way to diffuse it when it does get to me.

I'm proud of myself for buying new, fitting swimsuits today...instead of avoiding the pool while my weight is up. I love swimming! It was hard to buy the suits in the larger size...but necessary...truth is truth...and for now, I need the larger size. I'm not discouraged. I'm glad I'm willing to buy what I need now...even if it's not in the size I wish it were.

Didn't eat well today but could have been much worse. Walked 2.5 miles and did lower body weights so it wasn't a bad day. If I count the calories burned from exercise I am well within my calorie range for the day. My hubby has his doctor appointment at 8:00 am tomorrow and he is supposed to be there 1/2 hour before to do paperwork. I want to go with him so it will be an early morning. I always get up to feed the cats at 5:00 am but always go back to bed. Won't be getting that extra sleep tomorrow.

I ate mush better today staying within my calorie range and kept busy all day but still managed to walk 2.5 miles. Feel much more motivated and looking forward to tomorrow.

Had a great time at the flea market today. It was a lot of walking and a nice time with DH. We got some nice Tupperware for keeping our fruits/veggies fresh...and a salad spinner...and a lemon press/zester. I'm planning to take fresh veggies and dip with me to work tomorrow for the 3 pm slump.

I have identified danger zones for me...the times/instances when I am most likely to overeat or binge eat. One of them is when I am alone. And another of them is the weekend. Today is Saturday and DH is working. Double danger zone. I will be on my guard to eat right, keep my spirits up, and guard against slipping into eating for comfort or company...and finding myself in a binge. I think I will go out thrifting for awhile today. Hope you all have a great day! emoticon emoticon

I have been wondering about the tracking of those vitamins and minerals. Just for fun today I checked off all of the food suggested and there was still a shortage for 3 of the items. It seems like its impossible to eat within every range listed every day. I don't take any vitamins but am thinking about taking magnesium because I am always under the range for that. I don't always have spinach or swiss char available. We grew Swiss Char but we got too much rain and the plants died.

I take several different vitamins and was curious as to if there is a place to log your vitamin intake. I, too, seem to always show up as lacking in folate especially yet I take a specific medical food for it. So I know technically there is no way I am under as much as it shows I am

I want to improve my diet this month. I have been keeping within my calorie ranges but don't always get enough calcium, folate or magnesium so I need to tweak my plan.

Brand - Can you set mini goals like Spark guy says such as walk ten mins for 3 days. Then be proud of making that and change it up. He says it is how he got started and has helped others do the same thing. Try doing one of the Coach Nicole videos. Leslie Sansone walking videos on you tube may not be your cup of tea, but her positive spirit just emanates from the computer screen. She makes you feel proud for just turning on the video.

We as women beat ourselves up, but we need to be our best friend to ourselves. You can do it!!!

It was a quiet day here. I mowed the front lawn, watched an old movie, did some aerobics and strength training exercises. Started out the day with a big breakfast (veggie omelet) then wasn't hungry at lunch so we just ate salad with cottage cheese. Will be eating chicken at dinner.

Going to Michigan tomorrow. Will be doing a lot of walking emoticon some shopping. A friend an I are going to the Ikea warehouse store. I understand its huge then if we have time we will be stopping at one of the trade center flea markets. Its going to be a fun filled day with lots of walking. I will have my emoticon . Hi everyone. I cut our front lawn and the neighbor's front lawn today. Both of our back yards are too soaked to cut yet. It's really sloppy back there and it will take a few days to dry up. In our vegetable garden the beets are wilting from too much water. The Swiss Chard isn't looking good either. It was a beautiful day and I finally got into the pool for the first time this year.

We all make mistakes, just learn from them and we will become a better people.

I'm motivating myself to go to swim fitness ... If I can break away from my DH 1 1/2 hours before he goes to work (sigh) we're such a team.

Haven't been in the pool yet this year. Hope we get enough sunshine to warm it up in the next couple of days. All this rain so far has been bad.

Good morning everyone! It is count down time for me. Every summer I swear I am going to be in great shape when I go back to work when school starts in September. And every year, so far, that hasn't been the case. I usually go back a few pounds heavier. So, I counted and there is exactly 6 weeks until the start of school. I should be able to lose 8-10 pounds in 6 weeks, that just about 1 and 1/2 pounds per week. All that to say, it is time to really get serious or I'm going to be so disappointed in myself, yet again. I can do this, can't I? That's not an unreasonable goal is it? emoticon emoticon

Today has been a day of rest- I think my body was crying from the exercise I did last week... it is good for this body, but so is a day to get back together... I have had a wonderful time reading short stories and learning several new words... and going to church where i heard a wonderful sermon and spent time with some good people.. so tomorrow I will do my morning walk and I will do my upper body workout and continue with good calories and nutritionally dense foods and my water... here I go for another week...

So far we are enjoying a mixture of sun and clouds and no rain. I mowed our lawn and the front lawn next door this morning. There are a ton of weeds in the gardens and I picked for about a half hour. Might do some more later, they sure won't go away.

I have gotten into the routine and am feeling good- the problem is how to make this a permanent life change. I did really well last summer and dropped a lot of weight but then went back to the stress of full time school. I am working hard to regain and surpass what I did last summer and to work on making this a permanent change in my life so I can maintain.
