I know the last post on this was a while ago, but I just ran across this posting and figured I'd check it out. So here are my results:

I have to agree with some of the other posters on this board that refer to the lack of an actual waist measurement. In particular, I do not like the use of pant size as a measure because there is so much variation in sizes who knows which one I should use. I also agree that I would look deathly sickly ill at 104 lbs. In fact the least I have weighed as an adult is 118 and even at that point I had some people say I looked "too skinny," whatever that means lol

If you look over to the right of the page you should see a link that says BMI plus calculator and click on that, it should take you to the spot to enter pant size, etc. Now I'm gonna have to start measuring my waist on a regular basis, too! What else?!

I got to the tool but it only let's me enter my sex, height, weight and activity level. It gives me how many calories I am burning throughout the day but I dont' get a fancy report like people have posted. Any thoughts?? Help!! :)

I'm not sure that pant size is the best waist-height ratio calculator, though. My pant size is based on the size of my butt/belly, not my waist. Even the trousers that are supposed to be cut to be fuller at the hips still gape around my waist.

Interesting. This is the first calculation I've ever seen that has listed my healthy weight at a 108 - 145 range. The calorie intake is the same as SP though. I'm going to explore the site a bit more.Thanks for the link.

Seriously, Qgal... When I lose the 90 lbs. I will still be technicially overweight. We'll see what happens when I get there, but I have a feeling that no one will guess I weigh well over the "recommended" weight for my height.

I agree - BMI never takes muscle into account, although if you're over max range, then...

Reading through the site, the lower range of weight is for people with smaller frames and higher is for the higher-muscle, larger-framed folks. (Yeah, 122? Never gonna happen, WebMD!)

It's kinda cool to be able to come back at people who say, "well, you're big-boned" with, "actually, I'm medium-framed."

Even though I'm fairly muscle-bound, I still need to get those fat pounds off. emoticon

Couple things that I find weird.... Gives waist to height ratio without asking for a waist measurement. If I use a calculation that asks that it is lower then what they have. Also, BMI doesn't take into account how much muscle you have here. And then the weight range is sooooo big. 104-141 for me....that would take me from too skinny to quite big for my body. Anyway...
