I'm joining this challenge to help motivate me to eat better and exercise more. I pigged out over the holidays and get lazy in winter. My pants are not fitting as well now......I want to get back in shape!

I am here to lose the weight that has packed on for so many years. My goals are to eventually lose 85lbs. What I am challenging myself to do is stop procrastinating and get up and move around. I have a gym membership that for the past few months I have been wasting. I will be trying to go to the gyms at the very least 3 times per week and if I am not able to then I want to just get up and move around. exercise at home, play on the wii with the kids, etc. I look forward to this challenge. and wish everyone the best of luck in your losses.

My goal is to create some new habits. When someone has over 100lbs to lose then it's hard to see changes in 28 days. I want to be HEALTHY and to feel good about myself. If not now, when? I will be very challenged by this as I don't trust myself to do this....

One of my challenge goals is to try and exercise at least 30 minutes a day. This is a great start to combat my completely sedentary job. Another goal I have is to not drink all my calories. Coffee with whole milk and the occasional beer(s) will have to become treats instead of the norm!

When I jumped on the scale last Sunday and saw that I had gained 16 lbs. (on top of the 30 that I wanted to lose in the first place)over the holidays, I wanted to cry. I feel slugish and tired and I don't like it. I need to get moving and, not only lose the weight, but to have more energy to keep up with my two boys. I need all the help that I can get, and I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for this helping hand.

My main goal is to finally do something about my weight. Ever since I have my daughter 2 years ago I have let myself go down hill. I'm 22 years old and shouldn't be battling with my weight the way I am. I've gotten too lazy but, now I'm ready to shed the pounds!
My goals for this week are:
1. drink 8 cups of water daily.. and
2. work out everyday
3. track my foods everyday

After 9 months of being on sparkpeople, the first 6 making great progress and the last 3 being the worst plateau ever I needed to give my self a wake up yell. So here I am at bootcamp trying to shake up my metabolism with some new daily exercises and not the same old same old. I'm 40 and this year I'm gonna be fabulous and fit. emoticon

I really hope to just lose weight and be healthy. I'm tired of avoiding mirrors and feeling this incessant need to apologize for myself. I'm tired of reprimanding myself to be more "bubbly" because no one likes the fat, shy girl. I want to believe my boyfriend when he calls me beautiful. He believes it. It's time I did, too.
I want these 28 days to start me on the right path.

My goal this month is to take it one day at a time, focusing of what I need to do that day to fulfill the challenge criteria for that day. I have gotten out of the habit of exercising each day as a result of our moving to a different location over the past 6 months. Now I want to set a goal of getting back to the routine of exercising and recording what I eat. I know if I do those two things, my ticker will go down and I will feel better physically as well as emotionally. We can do it, people, let's go!! emoticon

I need to prove to myself that I can stick to something. This is quite a structured realm, and that should help. I joined this group this evening, a Tuesday night. This means that the last 5 days of my Week 1 are goign to be busy, but we shall see what happens!

my main goal is to bust through this very long plateau and move on from there...........

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Need to jump-start my routine - I work out regularly, but injuries have set me back and helped me gain weight.

I'll be alternating strength and cardio 6 days a week, and have taken my before pics and done my measurements.

It's very hard to understand in the beginning that the whole idea is not to beat the other runners. Eventually you learn that the competition is against the little voice inside you that wants to quit. - anon

Someday you will no longer be able to do this. Today is NOT that day!

I do Zumba pretty much twice a week for the past 4 months, although it regenerates me I still feel pretty tired alot of the time. I can pay $5 more and have free access to other exercise groups at the Y but not sure my body is ready for daily workouts so this will be a good trial.

emoticon I joined Spark People in March of last year and did well when I started. The holidays really work on me with the stress and parties and eating and I have gained almost all the weight back that I lost. I am not going to change my weight ticker but my goal is to get the holiday weight off for now so I can continue my journey; to lose some amount of weight every week or at least stay the same when I weigh in but to have a no gain month this month and hopefully for the next several. I need a jump start and I'm hoping this bootcamp is going to do it for me. They say it takes 21 days to make a habit and stick to it and this is 28 days - so I am hoping after that the exercise habit sticks for good. I am also exercising in the morning before work and this I am doing in the evening when I come home. emoticon Good Luck everybody! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

My goal for this Boot Camp is to increase my cardio activity and try to find something I like to do besides walk on the treadmill at the gym. I like going to the gym, but it's stormy now, and I live in the country. I need an activity to do at home. I also want to lose more weight and need to just get better and more accountable with my exercising.

I got serious with Sparkpeople back in Aug of 2010 and I have started to see results. Now that the weight is coming off, I would like to work on what's left so that it looks better.

So my goal for this 28 days is to create the habit of strength training.

My challenge goals are:

1. Shed about 33 lbs
2. Fit in the bikini when I go on my first real vacation
3. Keep up with my goals
4. I am a strong starter, but a horrible finisher!

About 3 years ago I lost 75 lbs using SparkPeople food plans. I haven't gained it all back, but I did gain some back. I want to get back to my previous state!

This has been a crappy year, so I'm going into 2011 with a positive attitude and trying to keep moving. I had hoped to do the daily bootcamp video--but my computer still has dial-up, so I'm throwing in a variety of exercise dvd's. I also plan to walk at least 1 mile a day--today I did 2 miles!! yay!! emoticon
