Yay! Week 1 - Done! I'm already doing 2 sets of each day's videos & 20 minutes of cardio for 2 days & 30 minutes of cardio for 3 days. My initial goal beginning Jan. 2, 2014 was to use up 1 lb of extra fuel per week, which I've accomplished. I feel great, & I'm stronger! emoticon I think I'm going to aim for using up 1-1/2 lbs of extra fuel per week now that I have the foundation in place.

My extra-extra video to attain Week 2's goal will be the "14-Minute Basic Yoga Workout;" I will do it on Day 3.

FINALLY. :) Back on track. Rest day was yesterday, and this morning it was 12 minute low impact cardio video and 6 minute lower body toning video. I think I've picked out my bonus video for the end of the week already. :)

I have been sick and having sinus issues on top of the head cold I battled, so this week it was hard to get the workouts in. BUT rounds of heavy cleaning before the cold set in helped me with meeting my fitness range, plus a workout in the morning and afternoon helped me meet my five cardio per day so far. Brought my weights to work with me so I could use a toning video while I'm at work. :) Making use if my bonus video either tonight or tomorrow. :)

Great work everyone!

I'm finding it amazing how motivating I find everyone's posts about their workouts! I'm also amazed that I made it to week 2 having accomplished all my week 1 goals!

Now if only the scale would start going down instead of staying the same or hiccuping upwards!

I've had difficulty making sure I track all foods I eat or will eat every day. I still have today to track and I will get three days in for this week. I have tried using the phone app but it doesn't store my groupings like the regular site does and my favorites are not always in. Hopefully an update to fix this is in the works.

I did the two extra workouts this week as well as the 5 days of cardio for 30 minutes and all 7 days of the boot camp workouts. On Wednesday, I did the 5-Min Lower Body Workout with Band, and Friday, I did the 7-Min Upper Body Workout with Band.

Well I just finished Day 6 of week 2! Tomorrow is the last day of week 2!!!!! I am so excited to start week 3. Is it really different from week 2? So far I have been able to do all recommended fitness tasks everyday. Today I was really tired and sore from stacking firewood and doing 45 minutes of Zumba yesterday. My body aches. My 30 minutes of cardio for today was house cleaning. Tomorrow I will add some cardio to even it out.

I just finished week 2. I found that I had to load up a bit last Sunday and today for some of the strength videos. I have a hard time fitting in videos everyday--however, I ended up with more that the challenge called for. Also I walked for 30 minutes for 6 days. I'm proud to have made it through two weeks of exercising every day!

I just started week 2 and I am feeling stronger, able to do more. Last week was a little challenging, but I have high hopes for this week. I did toning video 1 and a 14 minute yoga video. I really didn't like yoga before because it was too difficult for someone my height and weight, 5'4 240+ lbs. But that video and now that I am 228lbs. it was less challenging. It still made me sweat, but I could actually do most of the movements. Loving this week!!!!

I like shoveling snow. I know, it's weird. When we lived in Minneapolis I used to hurry out to shovel my 2 neighbors before they could. lol Now I have to share my shoveling job with my 3 kids. They like shoveling as much as I do I think.

I can't believe I'm on day 5 of week 2 already! I need to get an extra video in today. I haven't picked one yet but I'm leaning toward something for the upper body. My legs feel like they are getting enough of a workout with my daily biking. Yesterday I had to split up my 30 minutes into 2 sessions because my left knee was inflamed a bit.

Time to get some stuff done. L8r folks!

using stretching videos for my week 2 bonus workout. I usually do them after my cardio workout. This is my 2nd time working my way through boot camp so just finishing the goals for week 2 is my focus. This is day 4 of week 2 for me so things are looking possible!

I'm finished with week 2, and it was a heck of a lot easier to do the second time around. I still had problems with my balance and the lunges, so I put my hand on the wall, so I would be able to attempt to do them. The last workout, which hurt me so bad the first time, didn't hurt as much this time. I'm trying really hard to strengthen everything, especially my back and core. The added bonus workout I did was 12 Minutes Low Impact Cardio Workout from Andrea Metcalf's "Keeping Fit: Cardio" DVD. I also did some Richard Simmons Blast and Tone, Curves workout, and my daily walk. I'm trying really hard to get God's temple in order and I feel so much better for it!!!

Be blessed,

I have been tracking my food 26 days straight. I am learning some substitutions for things that are not very good for me. Tonight I had a baked apple as something sweet and it was very good. I have noticed that I need to even out my meals and add more calories to meet the recommended breakfast calories. It has helped me resist temptation to eat vending machine food at work.
I chose a 12 minute upper body workout for my extra video. I am noticing that the strengthening exercises are helping my core to be stronger. I can get out of a chair much easier. I have lost a pound this week!

I've had to get a little creative these past two days: don't know if it's the weather or if I've over-done it, but my knees are really hurting. I found a seated cardio video that I do rather than my usual 40 min walk; so far, I've had no problems doing the toning videos.

had to sit out week 2. I pulled some muscles during a week one workout and it took longer than I thought to get over it. I did a short workout at the gym without weights today and I was ok..still felt a bit of a burn but I'm taking Aleve for the next 5 days and making sure I start the day with an extended stretch routine..hope this puts me back on track. I won't underestimate the difficulty of those 10 min videos again!

I think I am going to have to start over with this program because I have had two very full weeks. I feel so bad because I really wanted to be successful with this program. One thing I am going to do is finish out this week and continue with the rest of the program but I really want to start from the beginning. emoticon

Today is day 9 for me, however I got super busy and stressed out yesterday because I had a test yesterday, and so I didn't get my workout in. Today I did my Day 1 and Day 2 boot camp workout along with my 30 minutes of cardio which I am doing a 30 minute 2 mile leslie sansone walk as my cardio for this 4 week challenge. I burned about 414 calories, and I worked up a tremendous sweat! I had a lot of trouble with day 1 last time and had to do a lot of the modifications but for the most part today I did pretty good. Today I did the actual jumping jacks up until when we started doing the jab thing as well. My coordination is definitely not up to that level yet. I skipped the second to last workout because that is way more advanced that my current workout level I mean this is only the beginning of my second week of working out. I did the last one. Also known as the mountain climbers, but I did them much slower than what Nicole did, but I still did them. I'd call that progress. After all of that lower body working out my walk was definitely made much more intense! It felt good though! A few times I thought about quitting though, but I pulled through! I have 4 more days of cardio left his week and for some reason it has been a lot harder for me in my second week. I know that sounds weird, but I guess it has something to do with doing cardio 5 days this week and then doing it this week. I guess my muscles are just building or something. I'm not totally sure. I hope that you all are doing awesome in your 28-Day boot camp journey!
xoxo,
Emma

YOU'RE HALF WAY THERE!-(Digger, owls of gahool) lol love that quote and pretty much applies here! I've got 2 days till I'm done with week 2 definitely harder than week one with road bumps where some days I've had to do 2 videos to make up for the day before...but I've done 5 cardio days consistently and I'm proud of that, and today I reached my first weight milestone of ten pounds since starting back up here! Yoga was my extra video choice cause I needed something chill to offset my 3 miles of running hah. Gotta admit though...Feelin' great emoticon

I just started week two of my 28 day challenge. I'm still excited although a little sore also. I know that it's hard but I also know that we can make it. We're are on the right track and have come so far; keep going.

My goal is to continue this challenge at the same momentum I started with. So far so good!
I'm going to do two videos each day this week instead of twice this week.

This challenge is really helping me stay accountable to myself and because of this, I am now down 2 pounds! I just wanted to say a heart felt "Thank You" to everybody here! emoticon emoticon emoticon
