Moving even when you don't feel like it is tough but it's the ONLY thing that works. Some folks on here know that I'm a journalist. It was a huge eye opener to talk to folks with arthritis so severe they can hardly move and hear from them that the only way to lessen the pain is to keep on moving.

And walking and talking with friends is FANTASTIC. Reminds me of why I need to do that more. Thanks for that!

I always enjoy my "walk and talks" with friends. I tend to walk 3 to 4 times each week. It's a great way to get rid of the day's frustrations, catch up with friends, and get in exercise without really thinking about it. Plus there is someone waiting for me so I don't skip it like I do when it's just me!

I have to split my exercise time up throughout my day. It hard being disabled and trying to move when your body says, "Hey! I hurt! Get back in bed". But if I don't move a little throughout the day....tomorrow will be horrible!

I do stretching in the morning before getting out of bed.

Then some walking. Sunday & Thursdays I do the stairs at my church. When I finally get out of bed, I take my dog out and while she is out, I walk around the yard picking up sticks that have fallen. Sometimes I bend from my waist and other times I squat.

Hope my ideas help someone! emoticon

God gives me every day and I am thankful. I hop to my goals daily.

to fit more exercise into your day?

For me, I try to split it up. I don't always succeed, but when I can do 20 minutes in the morning and then some at night, I feel better! And, obviously, work out longer too!
