This is an old topic but still worth bringing back. I've been doing well with fruits and vegetables, not so great with water and exercise.

UPDATE FOR TEESTER2
I am back Sparking after a three or four year absence. I think I will have more advantages now, than last time.
My Sweetie and I are recovering from a major setback in finances. Her income was reduced by a third for five years (I call it create financing by the Veterans Administration, but I won't get on my soapbox now.) Last time I was here, some might recall that we were working on our roof. We can now resume construction. We also plan on erecting a wind powered electric generator and next month, we can mount better solar panels on our roof.
Meanwhile, we can set up a small propane-fired refrigerator so that we can keep fresh fruits and vegetables for snacking and healthy meals. We have already weaned ourselves from Ramen, which was our staple for several years.
I am now eating my recommended calorie limit. I just need to make healthier choices. A working kitchen will help us eliinate our dependence on pre-packaged food. Oh, part of our kitchen will be a greenhouse!
The weather is getting warmer, and we have been choosing Spark recipes which we can adapt for cooking on the.grill.
We should finish the kitchen before the year is out and get some propane fired appliances,too.
We will finish insulating the den this weekend and move our exercise bikes in there. I hope recumbent biking ill be easier on my joints than walking in the desert.
We bought a new Memory Foam mattress on New Year's Day 2016. I have been sleeping much better. I still get migraines once or twice a week, but my doc has prescribed meds that knock them out even once the have started. My stomach is happier because I am not eating so many NSAIDS.
And yes, I have health care. It took four years for the VA to provide it after our marriage in 2010. I am now her legal dependent and receive health care at a 20% cost to us. What a blessing!
Life has been tough, but we are tougher. I am looking forward to this journey to a trimmer, healthier me.

I am drinking my daily water ration. Fruits and veggies are hard for me. I am eating an orange a day. And i always add a can of veggies into our stew or soup pot. That is simply not enough.
I need to overcome a lack of reftigeration in order to get fresh fruit daily. Do canned veggies count? How about V8? (We live in a remote location.)
I would like to lose 4 or 5 pounds a month, but to do that, I need to work out for more than 10 minutes a day. I guess I will work up to it. For some of my dumb bell squats, I have moved from 5 pounders to 10 pounders. But I do not want to burn out before I get far enough. J
I will just keep plowing ahead!

I'm in. I need to eat more fruits and veggies and drink more water. I also need to start working out more.

NO ONE IS PERFECT. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES IN LIFE. ITS HOW WE MOVE PAST THEM THAT DEFINES US ALL. IF YOU LOOK INTO THE PAST TO TRY TO FIX THE FUTURE THE FUTURE WILL BE BLURRED. IF YOU ARENT WILLING TO CHANGE NOTHING WILL CHANGE. IF YOU LET HATE GUIDE YOU IN LIFE YOUR LIFE WILL HAVE NO PURPOSE.

This is pulling me right where I need to be!

Water each day 6-8. I will meet this goal

4-6 fruit and or veggie each day. A real challenge for me. give it my all.

Exercise each day. starting out slow and easy at least 10 minutes a day.

I will being working on getting these goals down for each day until

Starting Feb 1.

JPPERSELL, simply fit board is a balance board that they advertise on tv, to twist on it and you'll lose weight.

Sounds good to me. I walk using Leslie sansone DVD's. I workout at least 5 days per week.

Exercising to get my heart healthy!!!

Here is the new challenge for Feb.

Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water

Eat at least 4 to 6 vegetables

Exercise if you have the Simply Fit Board or walk or any other exercise you want.
