Good for you! I've made over 100 masks but then I am a quilter so I found it pretty easy. I noticed when I wear a mask I have a tendency to keep my hands off my face. I think if nothing else that makes it worth while.

By watching the news on the Coronavirus I learned how to make a simple face mask using a bandana and two rubber bands. Any other similar cloth will do.

Yes it is. The free version has some fun filters on it and I like playing around with it. I have PhotoShop the full version so I use it most of the time. Just a fun way to play with my photos.

Today I learned how to remove the cover from my computer tower & clean inside to remove dust, pet hair, etc.

By the way, ladies, I have also now learned what a gite is because of you.

Thanks!

My D.K.16 complained of her feet hurting while we walked. I said, "You need to get some new shoes like MINE!"
She said, "eh, but I don't want to pay $65 dollars for a pair of shoes!"
I said, "I know, but if they make your feet feel better....."
She said, "yeah, but."

And I said, "How about I pay part of it and you pay part of it?"
And she said,
"Okay!"

lol, that solved her problem real quick.

Now, if we can just find a 'cordwainer' !

Just kidding...going to Dunham's and getting some comfort foam shoes, not ones made out of 'new leather'.

(I looked it up. smile.)

Today I learned that I am, indeed, much stronger than before.
We were walking a lot today at a lake. And my husband pointed out that I was walking WAYYY BETTER than last year.

I was doing well last year, but my new shoes have certainly helped me to last longer while walking.

Today I learned several things.....about me.

I learned that I am not happy with the way I've been caring for myself & have resolved to start doing a better job again. I can do better & I know it so there's no reason not to.

I learned that I really can do a little planning & save money on my groceries. Walmart & Aldi were both cheaper on some of the things that I planned to buy but Schnucks buy one get one free sale beat them both. Today I shopped at one store, got everything I wanted & saved money. That's a win-win situation.

I learned that I can no longer carry all of my groceries into the house at one time. I also learned that's OK because I need the extra steps.

I learned that I have a lot more gray hair & I think I like it. I think I will let it grow out. I may change my mind but for now, that's the plan.

It's still early so I may learn something more useful later today.

made from soda bottles & food container lids

I am learning that I appreciate the stage my life is in. My kids are old enough that I'm a bit free-er to actually get things done around the house.
I just asked to be on the 'possible help' list at church for funeral/food serving, before this my family was my ministry because I wasn't willing to spread myself too thin.
Also, being on the prayer list is giving me 'card' opportunities, which is something I always wanted to do. I love making someone happy by letting them get something GOOD in the mail. and I enjoy making my own cards.
I have an apartment in the back of the house that is currently my Genealogy/craft room. It's becoming more usable as I organize my mom's research and photoalbums. So now I have a space for Bible Study and Writing...including CARD writing.
This will be nice. :)

Today, I learned that I CAN walk two miles and am getting stronger.
I learned that my new shoes sure helped.
And I learned where two of my fellow church goers live.
My kids call it stalking.
I call it 'getting to know my fellowship'. lol
And after all, they ARE in the church directory.

I did another Legacy webinar today & learned how to add records to my Legacy 9 tree so that it will verify all the different information found in it. Example - I added a death certificate for James Franklin Smith. It verified when & where he was born, who his parents were, when & where he died, why he died, where he lived at the time of death, when & where he was buried, the married name of his youngest daughter who was the informant. It also confirmed that his wife had died previously since it stated that he was a widower at the time of death. This was important to me because my sister had her death listed as about 9 years later & didn't know where either of them were buried. She was happy to get that information, too.

Now to just remember it next time.

Just did a Legacy Family Tree webinar called Verifying Information Found Online. I learned several things that I can't wait to try out.

I also continue daily to learn new things about my new-found siblings. Not particularly good or bad, just different.

Okay, scorn me if you will, but you were pretty general in your challenge: lol
Last night I learned that the people I babysit for are having another baby!

It doesn't really have to do with my brain, but come November I'll get to experience the joy of holding a newborn again!

I love this idea as I love learning new things. Always taking one class or another. I hope we can keep this going after this week is over.

I learned something unintentionally. I've been interfering with the way my thyroid medication works by taking my calcium at the same time. It seems that after taking the thyroid pill, I need to wait at least 4 hours before taking the calcium for both to work properly. That's good to know.

Today, I'm also learning to use the corner-to-corner method of crocheting. I may be the last crocheter in the world to learn it.

Day 1. This is new to me and I'll count it...

I'm going to try a new recipe for baked potatoes that a friend made for us last night which was so clever. Actually it is the old standard baked potato prepared and presented a clever way.

Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2019 to be back to below 155.
